Tell us more about your company?
Finexis Advisory is one of Singapore's largest and most established independent financial advisor groups. We're located at One Raffles Quay, right beside Lau Pa Sat.
What were you hoping to get from Boulder Movement?
We were looking for a venue to conduct our team bonding activity for new trainees. We thought rock climbing looked interesting and wanted to give it a try. It's something that's new, fun and wholesome that our team could participate in together. We were also hoping to teach our new trainees problem-solving skills and the virtues of perseverance.
Why did you choose Boulder Movement?
We heard it from a mutual friend who had strongly recommended Boulder Movement after having climbed there and had great experiences. We went down to check out the gym while in the midst of choosing the different options we had and found that Boulder Movement's facilities exceeded our expectations! Furthermore, Boulder Movement is a short walking distance from our office.
How was your experience?
Boulder Movement's team hosted the session for us. We wanted it to be in a competitive format so our staff can blow off some steam from work. Some of our team mates were so hooked that they didn't want to leave until they completed the challenges!
Initially, some of us were quite hesitant to give the challenges a try, but the Boulder Movement guides were really helpful, and encouraging. They inspired us to go up the walls easily. We noticed our mindset shift, from one that was initially of uncertainty and scepticism, to that of determination and perseverance. It was really satisfying being able to conquer the fears of doubt and actually having so much fun while doing it together with the team. We were positively changed by the experience.
